GUILLERMO QUESTIONS TEAM MENTALITY
WAFA head coach Hamdan Zaragoza Guillermo has attributed his sides recent defeat in the Ghana Premier League to lost of focus.
The Sogakope based club is yet to record a win in the 2021/2022 season; the 2-0 loss to Real Tamale United (RTU) is the second defeat in three games played this season.
David Abagna scored both goals in each half to give RTU all three points and take his goal tally for the season to five.
“I told the boys we need to play well in the first twenty minutes and not make mistakes. If we concede on the road (in an away game) it’s always difficult to recover. Unfortunately in the 9th minute we conceded and the game changed.
“The game plan was to control the ball like we always do. Not give away any counterattack (lose the play easily) and to keep the game intact and give ourselves a chance without conceding”.
“After we conceded the second goal we knew it was going to be very difficult to get the result we hoped for.”
WAFA sits at the bottom of the league log after match week 3.
