Medeama signs midfielder Etse Dogli from Heart of Lions
Ghana Premier League champions Medeama Sporting Club have strengthened their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season Etse Dogli from Kpando Heart of Lions
The Mauve and Yellow suffered a notable loss earlier in the off-season when influential midfielder Salim Adams departed for Sudanese giants Al-Hilal. To help fill the gap in midfield, the Tarkwa-based side have secured the services of 22-year-old Etse Dogli.
Dogli has signed a three-year contract with Medeama after joining from fellow Premier League club Heart of Lions. The defensive midfielder emerged as one of the most consistent and impressive performers in the top flight last season, earning widespread praise for his composure on the ball, ability to break up opposition attacks, tactical discipline and leadership qualities in the middle of the park.
His strong displays also earned him recognition at national level, with call-ups to the Black Galaxies. Speaking after completing the move, Dogli expressed his excitement at the opportunity.
“It is a great honour to join Medeama Sporting Club, one of the biggest clubs in Ghana. I know the expectations that come with wearing this badge, and I am ready for the challenge ahead. I want to assure the entire Mauve and Yellow family that I will give my all every time I step onto the pitch. I am here to work hard, contribute to the team’s success and help Medeama continue winning trophies.”
The signing is expected to bolster Medeama’s midfield options as they prepare to defend their league title and compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
