
Matchday 27:Basit scores four to end Lions' winless streak as Kotoko beat Aduan
The 2022/2023 Match Day 27 of the ongoing BetPawa Ghana Premier League Season continued over the weekend as the “lions” roared. Hearts of Oak failed to get a win but defending Champions Asante Kotoko managed to beat league leaders Aduana Stars.

Accra Lions vs Medeama SC
Accra Lions beat Medeama SC 4-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, 21st April 2023.
Forward, Seidu Basit scored four goals as the the host ended their winless run in the ongoing betPawa Premier League Season.
The “Lions” opened the scoring through Seidu Basit 9th minutes left foot strike after a pass from Emmanuel Dzigbah.
Basit doubled the lead on the 33rd minute after an assist from Evans Botchway to record a 2-0 first half win for the host.
Back from the break, Medeama responded quickly as defender, Vincent Atinga scored from the spot after the referee had whistled for a handball in the box.
Seven minutes later, Atinga scored the second, again from the spot to level the score line after Derrick Fordjuor was brought down in the box.
The ‘lions” roared again as talisman, Seidu Basit scored twice in injury time to make it 4-2 win over Medeama SC as the host ended their five games winless streak.

Bechem United vs Hearts of Oak
Bechem United defeated Hearts of Oak by a lone goal at the Nana Gyeabour’s Park on Saturday afternoon.
Hafiz Konkoni scored the only goal in the game from the spot in the 22nd minutes to put his side in the lead.
The host going into the game were looking forward to bounce back from their last week defeat to Tamale City whiles the Phobians were hoping to continue their fine form.
Bechem United have managed to beat Hearts twice this season after recording a 2-1 win in the first leg in Accra.
The host are now second on the league log after the 1-0 win as the visitors dropped to 4tgh position.
Sunday
Asante Kotoko vs Aduana Stars
Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-1 win over league leaders, Aduana Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium later in the evening.
Isaac Mintah struck first on the 25th minute into the game to put the visitors upfront.
12 minutes later the Porcupines leveled through Ugandan attacker, Steve Dese Mukwaila after the forward shot the ball at the top right corner.
Just three minutes into the second half, the host added the second goal as Ivorian talisman, Eric Serge Zeze put his side in the lead.
The hosts maintained their composure and eventually won the game 2-1 at the end of 90 minutes of action.
