Medeama took a step closer to winning their first league title over the weekend.

Medeama took a step closer to winning their first league title over the weekend following their 2-1 win over King Faisal at Akoon Park.

The Yellow and Mauve lads hosted King Faisal at home on match day 32 and had to come from behind to secure all three points, moving them closer to a league title triumph.

Medeama’s chances were boosted following Aduana FC’s defeat to Dreams at home on Saturday, taking the Tarkwa-based side four points clear at the top of the league table.

Elsewhere at the El Wak Sports Stadium, Kofi Kordzi scored the only goal of the game as Legon Cities piped Hearts of Oak to victory. Hearts have now lost their last three games in the league dropping further down the table.

At the Baba stadium, Asante Kotoko were held to a 1-1 drawn game by relegation-threatened Karela United. The porcupine warriors took the lead thanks to an own goal from Mohammed Rashid but Karela respond in the second half with a wonderful goal from Fatawu Mohammed to pick up valuable point in the quest for survival.
