Aduana Stars appoint Samuel Boadu as Head Coach

Aduana Stars Football Club have appointed Samuel Boadu as their new head coach following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The club confirmed the appointment in a statement released on Friday, 12 June, as they begin preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. Boadu takes over from Cioba Aristica and becomes the latest high-profile Ghanaian coach to join the Dormaa-based side.

The move marks the next chapter in Boadu’s well-travelled coaching career in the Ghana Premier League. He previously managed Medeama Sporting Club, Accra Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea.

His most successful period came at Hearts of Oak, where he guided the Phobians to the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title, ending a long drought for the club. In the same season he also delivered the MTN FA Cup, completing a historic league and cup double — the club’s first in two decades. Boadu followed that up by retaining the FA Cup in 2022 and adding the Ghana Super Cup and President’s Cup to his collection during his time in Accra.

His achievements earned him individual recognition, including the Ghana Football Awards Men’s Coach of the Year in 2021.

At Berekum Chelsea his results were more modest, with the side finishing in mid-table. Aduana, who ended the 2025/26 season in ninth place with 14 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats, will now look to Boadu’s proven winning mentality and attacking approach to push them higher and challenge for major honours once again.
