REPORT: Elmina Sharks held to a 1-1 draw at home by Eleven Wonders
A strong start at Ndoum Sports Complex against Elmina Sharks from Eleven Wonders ensured the hosts winless home streak in the league continue as they battled for a draw.
Emmanuel Gustav Addington’s late second half strike annulled Sule’s opener to rescue a point for the home side.
The home side started the game on the front foot, but failed score – it then became an open game but both sides failed with their finishing.
Eleven Wonders were forced into making their first substitution of the game by replacing Rafeal Essam with Seth Osei in the dying embers of the first half when the former got injured.
Back from recess, the situation changed with the visitors breaking the deadlock with 57 minutes gone.
Musa Sula scored the opening goal from a wonderful team move to stun the home supporters.
Yaw Acheampong immediately shuffled his cards by making a quick double substitution by bringing on George Amonoo and Augustine Owusu for Raphael Ocloo and Benjamin Twenoboah.
The substitution paid off as Sharks took charge of the game and pilled consistent pressure on Wonders, finally they got the breakthrough - Gustav Addington found some pace outside the penalty box as he fired a wonderful shot to restore parity.
Elmina Sharks hoofed and puffed, created a number of chances but were unable to fetch the potential winner.
